Song 361: Baby Please Don’t Go

Alright, try and guess who would have created a song of the title “Baby Please Don’t Go”.

If you guess Thin Lizzy, you win.  I’m a big fan of the live version.  I think the guitars get a bit buried in a lot of the studio versions of Thin Lizzy’s music that really gets spotlighted in the live versions.  I do prefer their live work. I think this is more of a function of how things were engineered in the recording studio but hard to say.

Sadly, next year marks the 40th anniversary of leader Phil Lynott’s shocking death at the age of 36.  It was only a few years after this recording. Far too young.
