Time to mention another one of my Strato Baseball friends. Kyle Larsen introduced me to the Cowboy Junkies, he liked playing their version of Sweet Jane. It is great, but they did so many fine songs of their own creation. But whenever I listen to The Trinity Sessions album, I can’t help but think of Kyle. It’s been almost 30 years since I’ve seen him.
Misguided Angel is one of my favorites by the Cowboy Junkies. I absolutely love how Margo Timmins’ voice connects to the guitar playing. I’m just a big fan of the collaborations of the Timmins. I’ve seen them three times, and their shows are both mellow and intoxicating.
Kudos for the use of the haunting harmonica background playing as well in this song.
