Song 320: Old Man

Young man, old man, anybody should appreciate the lyrics of this Neil Young classic.  “Old Man” is a song by a young man singing about how an old man used to be, and suspects that he will be like him later on as well.  One of my favorite Neil Young songs.  Subtle string instrumentation work married to Young’s plaintive voice.  James Taylor and Linda Ronstadt are singing in the background, and it is Taylor on banjo.

It was recorded on my 12th birthday.  Now that I’m an old man as well, I think I’ll remember that when my birthday pulls around each year.
