I first found out about Ultravox, and the Systems of Romance album, during an evening in the 70s partying with my friends in Livermore. KMEL played the song Dislocation (maybe it was KSAN, or KOME, I can’t remember) and in our current state we all declared it may have been the most amazing song we had ever heard. Then I bought the album, and discovered the whole thing was filled with totally cool songs. Ultravox had bigger commercial albums (Vienna probably was the biggest) but none better. To this day I don’t know which song I like best on Systems of Romance, but Quiet Men is as good of a choice as any.
