I’ll admit, about the only thing I knew about The Figgs until about 6 years ago was that they backed up Graham Parker sometimes. Although that’s a good sign of the quality of their music, I knew nothing else.
My friend Zander invited me to go see them in Harrisburg in the mid-2010s, and I’m glad I went. It was a surprisingly small crowd but they kicked butt in the show, and I knew I was going to have to check them out more completely at that point.
“On the Slide” actually was from the album of the same name that was released in 2016. Love this title track, hopefully you will too.
