Song 467: Mmmbop

I see some may be scowling at this choice.

Mmmbop by Hanson

This was one of the best pop songs of the 90s.  It kind of reminds me of an ABBA song, just a little island of something else in an era of Seattle sound and rap that people enjoyed.  Until it was overplayed.

But I had to pick this song.  Our daughter was a baby when it came out, and she absolutely lit up when this song came on.  She learned to stand and bounce to this song.

It was the song I could sing in her ear to get her to calm down or fall asleep.  I have told her, if she has a wedding where there’s a father – bride dance, this is going to be the song.  We’ll figure it out.
