Song 377: Wild Fire Woman

Bad Company can bring me back to the summer after high school graduation very easily.  “The Cruise” on First Street in Livermore was big, and everyone had their car stereos blaring music, and Bad Company was very often on ours.

“Straight Shooter” was the album of choice.  We had the cassette, not the 8-track, so Side One was the one with the hits, but Side Two had “Wild Fire Woman”.  Total gem of a performance of the song. Give it a listen.  Easily my second favorite song by the band.

Mick Ralphs recently passed away.  He was a founder of Bad Company, also was with Mott the Hoople.  He was a writer or co-writer of many of Bad Company’s songs, including this one.
