When you catch a Graham Parker song on the radio, just ask somebody who they think the performer is. Chances are they will say Elvis Costello. There’s plenty of difference between the two, and I like Elvis fine, but seriously, Graham Parker deserves his due. Some of the most biting lyrics you will find from the rock and roll period, and that’s saying something.
