Elvis Presley is not a performer from my generation. Sure, I was alive during some of his hits, but I have always considered him to be of my parents’ generation. As such, most of his recordings don’t really capture my attention.
Suspicious Minds is the rare exception. It is the last Billboard number 1 single for Elvis, and he’s here in his bell bottom body suit fashion that I guess drove our mothers and grandmothers wild. It is a great song and Elvis DOES SING THE HELL OUT OF IT. This is probably the only Elvis single that I will actually turn up the volume for.
