The album Everyone is Here, by the Finn Brothers, reached me personally when it came out in 2004.
Particularly the song Disembodied Voices.
My Mom had passed away in 2001, and the 2000s were lifted after that with vacations with remaining family – my brothers and their immediate families, and my Dad and his second wife. It was a time of rekindling of my family, and this album of relationships and fleeting time was right within my mood.
We saw them play at the Whitaker Center in Harrisburg and they were great, both musically and as story tellers.
It is a song like this that makes one realize that music is an emotional time machine.
