Colourbox deserved better. This song didn’t get the attention is deserved. Here’s your chance to catch up.
For my money, Coldplay still owns the greatest rock song released in the 21st century. They will eventually be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I’m not a giant fan of the band. But I am a giant fan of this song.
This is the live version of Moon Tears. I bought the live Nils Lofgren album, Night After Night, after hearing it on KTIM AM, a fantastic radio station that used to broadcast in Marin County , California.

Give the Black Eyed Man album a listen. Murder, Tonight, in the Trailer Park is a fairly laid back tune that accentuates the story in the lyrics and especially Margo Timmins’ vocals. If you don’t love her singing after hearing this song, not sure what the issue is
There was a time when I thought Sarah McLachlan was going to be the biggest new music star of the 1990s. That didn’t happen, but she put out some great music.
The album Everyone is Here, by the Finn Brothers, reached me personally when it came out in 2004. Particularly the song Disembodied Voices.
I really enjoy the early stuff by Steely Dan. Can’t Buy a Thrill, their debut, is still their best in my opinion. As they matured, I found their music less accessible to me. By the time they released Aja and Goucho, I was disinterested.
Do you hear the Neil Young in this song? Minnesoter is a 1997 song by The Dandy Warhols, but close your eyes. Isn’t this a really good Neil Young song?
What really makes this song so powerful are those background vocals, though. Sets the mood perfectly for the lyrics.
