“Somebody” is a song that desperately should be THE SONG on a soundtrack of an Oscar awarded movie about some criminal activity.
Mmmbop by Hanson was one of the best pop songs of the 90s. It kind of reminds me of an ABBA song, just a little island of something else in an era of Seattle sound and rap that people enjoyed.
You probably haven’t heard the original version of this song. It was covered in the movie soundtrack “Into the Wild” by Eddie Vedder and that version is great.
But I prefer Indio’s version of “Hard Sun”.
Somewhere in the basement I still have a few of the 45s I listened to when I was a kid, but I lost that Nillson record a long time ago.
It’s Your Thing by the Isley Brothers is just funk fun.
I’ll admit, about the only thing I knew about The Figgs until about 6 years ago was that they backed up Graham Parker sometimes. Although that’s a good sign of the quality of their music, I knew nothing else.
Today’s youth probably don’t know much, if anything, about Humble Pie. Maybe 30 Days In The Hole.
